Patrick Lecaque (Patrik L’okak)

Patrick Lecaque is a Professor of French and the Director of the Center for International Education at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, U.S.A. He is the author of numerous articles on the history and art of Medieval Bulgaria. He studied Bulgarian Philology and Civilization at the École Nationale des Langues Orientales in Paris, France with Professor Roger Bernard and Byzantine Art History at the École Pratique des Hautes Études, V° section, in Paris, with Professor Suzy Dufrenne and with Acad. Ivan Dujčev in Bulgaria. He received his Ph.D. in Art History at the Sorbonne University, in Paris, in 1985. He received a Doctor Honoris Causa degree from the University of Veliko Turnovo in Bulgaria in 2004.
