Between Two Empires - Reincarnation
On the verge of the whirlwind
The second part of the novel "Between Two Empires" - "Reincarnation", with the subtitle "On the Threshold of the Whirlwind", introduces the reader to the fractured 13th century - a time of uprisings, falls and internal struggles in the Tarnovo kingdom. As King Constantine the Silent tries to hold on to his power, the old powers - Byzantium and the Golden Horde - increase their pressure on Bulgaria, and Western religious intrigues fan new flames and bloodshed.
Amidst the storm hovers an ancient yet eternal truth - an invisible thread that marks the fates of the heroes.
The familiar characters of Atonement face their reincarnations - each carrying their own curse, but also the possibility of inner awakening. Bratuchen wanders between love and duty, Iwael pursues his orientation, Kozhlyo undergoes a true rebirth, and the two Theodores - princesses in origin and spirit - seek happiness beyond the weight of their fate. Baran, as always, leans on his steady hand, but something new is already maturing within him.
"Reincarnation" is at once a historical drama, a philosophical narrative and a spiritual journey in which the past and the present reach out to remind us: Bulgaria is not just geography - it is an idea, a duty and a destiny.
The story will continue in the next books of the Between Two Empires saga.
